Tepache at the Farm

Join me at Fallen Fruit Farms for a hands-on fermentation workshop centered around one of my favorite ferments: tepache — a traditional Mexican pineapple ferment that is lightly sweet, tangy, refreshing, and naturally bubbly.

In this beginner-friendly class, we’ll explore the basics of wild fermentation while making tepache together from simple ingredients. You’ll learn how fermentation works, how to safely create tepache at home, what flavors to experiment with, and how to recognize a healthy active ferment.

This class is designed to be approachable, practical, and rooted in simple ingredients and real fermentation.

You’ll leave with:

  • A hands-on introduction to wild fermentation
  • Your own take-home tepache ferment
  • Recipe booklet + step-by-step guidance
  • Tips for flavor variations and second fermentation
  • Confidence to recreate it at home
